HyperFest

Hyper Youth Team | November 2024 – Present

HyperFest has been one of my favourite opportunities to get hands-on experience in the live music and youth arts space. As part of the Hyper Youth Team, I’ve supported the planning and delivery of the festival, getting involved in both the behind-the-scenes organisation and the fast-paced reality of event day.

In 2025, one of my main responsibilities was managing the Artist Signing Tent, where I oversaw crowd flow, queues and the overall audience experience. This means keeping things moving, communicating with artists and volunteers, and making sure the activation is enjoyable and runs smoothly, even when there are lots of excited fans in one very small space!

I’ve also liaised with artists and coordinated volunteers across festival activations, as well as assisting with the delivery of HyperVision, a youth art competition connected to the festival.

What I love about HyperFest is being surrounded by young people who are genuinely excited about music and the arts. It’s given me a much better understanding of the audience side of live events, not just how to make an event run, but how to create an experience that people actually remember.

This experience has strengthened my skills in live music operations, artist liaison, crowd management, volunteer coordination and event delivery, while also confirming that the live music industry is where I want to build my career.
